Dave Peach, general manager of the three radio stations in Crawfordsville, spoke to the Crawfordsville Rotary Club at their weekly meeting. Peach is also the public address announcer for the Butler University Men's Basketball games. He started in radio in 1978 and started to work for Butler in 1979 when Tony Hinkle was coaching football, baseball and basketball at the college. He brought a bobble head of Tony Hinkle to show the Rotarians. Peach shared many stories about his time at Butler and shared his wardrobe of shirts he has worn every time he was broadcasting. In 1884, WabashCollege played its first football game with Butler. (No, he didn't announce that game.) On Sept. 15 you can hear Peach announcing the Wabash vs. Butler Football Game from Butler. When Peach is at the radio stations in Crawfordsville he tries to present local activities and sports for his listeners. "Always Be Ready" is his motto.
