The Parke Heritage High School dance team received a blue ribbon for their performance routine at the Universal Dance Camp Camp held at Eastern Illinois University recently.
Their routine was taught and evaluated at camp. The team also earned a bid to compete in the UDA nationals from their performance routine.
They also earned the Super Spirit Stick.
Senior Makayla Ricketts received the Pin-It-Forward pin, which was given to her by a UDA staff member as recognition for excellent attitude, hard-work, showmanship, and great sportsmanship! She then passed the honor on to another dancer at camp.
Maura Jacks earned the Pin-It-Forward award from another dancer for her great sportsmanship by helping and hyping up the other dancers around her. She was also named an All-American.
