PHMS conducts honor society induction

Parke Heritage Middle School National Jr. Honor Society held its induction of new members on March 11 in the middle school gym.

Seventeen seventh and eighth grade students were inducted as new members. They were selected based upon scholarship, service, leadership and character. These areas are the basis for all National Jr. Honor Society selections.

Newly-inducted members include: seventh grade, Keyera Brown, Henry Busenbark, Justin Cooper, Aubree Kieft, Hallie Miller, Emma Patton, Lucas Rhoads, Treigh Schelsky, Kailey Seay, Taya Sturmer, Hayden Vandivier, Nathan Woodard and Erica Zatorski; and eighth grade, David Lacy, Shelby Robertson, Ashton Tapy and Lewis Woody.

Members of the 2020-21 National Jr. Honor Society are: Warren Ayres, Abigail Bonomo, Treyton Burgess, Brennan Cox, Colvin Feldhake, Addison Frazier, Maura Jacks, Addilee Jenkins, Addison Jenkins, Daniel Laws, Catherine O’Brien, Raegan Ramsay, Carson Rolison, Emma Simpson and Daman Spurr. Susan Seitz and Haley Roach are the chapter advisers.

Speakers for the induction ceremony were Emma Simpson, Addilee Jenkins, Brennan Cox, Treyton Burgess, Raegan Ramsay and Maura Jacks. The middle school band members performed “Canticum” for the prelude and processional. The band director is Juliana Johnson.
