Parke Heritage Middle School science teacher Haley Roach, right, has been named one of the Golden Apple Award winners by WTHI Channel 10 in Terre Haute. During one of her afternoon classes, Roach was surprised when there was a knock on her door and Patrece Dayton of Channel 10 entered her classroom and presented her the award. Roach was nominated for the award by sixth grade student Madilynn Schaefer. This nomination demonstrates the profound impact that Roach has on her students. ..The Golden Apple Award is highly selective, with only five educators from the Wabash Valley being honored each year.
