HILLSBORO — Myers Dinner Theatre is excited to continue its 2023 Main Stage season with the murder mystery, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap.
This drama, the longest-running play in history, will open on Friday with seating for dinner at 6 p.m. and the meal at 6:30 p.m. This play, directed by Charles Burr, will run through Nov. 4.
After a local woman is murdered, the guests and staff at Monkswell Manor find themselves stranded during a snowstorm. It soon becomes clear that the killer is among them, and the seven strangers grow increasingly suspicious of one another. A police detective, arriving on skis, interrogates the suspects: the newlyweds running the house; a spinster with a curious background; an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef; a retired Army major; a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift; and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. When a second murder takes place, tensions and fears escalate. This record-breaking murder mystery features a brilliant surprise finish from Dame Agatha Christie, the foremost mystery writer of her time.
This show will feature newcomers Cole Hintz (Sergeant Trotter) and Christian Fronckowiak (Christoher Wren). Returning to the MDT stage are Brett Frederickson (Giles Ralston), Kristina Swearingen (Mollie Ralston), Annie Heartney (Miss Casewell), Malcom Claeys (Major Metcalf), Charles Burr (Mr. Paravacini) and Donna Schulte (Mrs. Boyle).
The Mousetrap opens Friday and runs through Nov. 4, with weekday matinee seating for meals at 11:30 a.m., the meal at noon, and curtain at 1:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening performances will have seating for meals at 6 p.m., meal at 6:30 p.m., and curtain at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinees will have seating for meals at noon, meal at 12:30 p.m., and curtain at 2 p.m.

Performance dates vary, so consult the online calendar for dates and times. Theatre prices are $49.50 for dinner and show, $37 for students (ages 4-18), and show-only for $35. Prices do not include taxes, handling fees or gratuity for waitstaff.
