Thanks & More

Relay for Life offers thanks

Posted

We have come to the end of another year for the Montgomery County Relay for Life. It has been a strange year, we had to do a lot of thinking outside the box. We could not have the Relay. We had to come up with some ways to make money. We want to thank the Farmers’ Market and Lisa Lynch for letting us sell luminaries there and for letting us hold our silent auction there. We also want to thank the mayor for allowing us to have our luminary ceremony on Pike Street and the radio station for announcing the cancer survivors and cancer patients that did not beat cancer on the radio station 92.1. To me, the luminary ceremony honors the people that have passed and shows the people that beat cancer, they have all of our support.

We want to thank the people that purchased luminaries. We also want to thank the Journal Review, all the businesses and people listed for their donations either monetary or an item from the silent auction. We would like to thank the people that participated in the silent auction also.

Thanks goes to: Forty & Eight, Gardners Professional Cleaning Service, Route 32, Thompson JM Insurance, Tri-County Bank and Trust, Teachers Credit Union, PNC Bank, Tom’s Marine Sales, Wilson’s Auto Tech, Wilson’s 24-Hour Towing, Prime Body and Paint, Stevenson’s Auto, Men of the Moose, Women of the Moose, Mid-West Bale Ties, Burkhart Funeral Home, Route 32 Auctions LLC, Rusty Carter, Susan F. We have finished up this year 2020 and getting ready to start 2021. We will be sending out papers to encourage businesses and individuals to do a sponsorship and to encourage everyone to have a team for the Relay next year. As of right now it will be held noon to 9 p.m. July 18 at Crawfordsville Middle School. We are planning a Ladies Night Out in November. There will be more information about this.

I want to thank everyone for their support. If I have forgotten anyone I want to apologize. If anyone would like more information about sponsorships or how to organize teams and donations, feel free to contact me. No donation is ever too small, we appreciate everything that is donated.
