The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure that will impact State Road 47 in Browns Valley.
Beginning on or after Monday, INDOT contractors will close S.R. 47 from S.R. 234 and C.R. 950S. The purpose of this closure is to replace a box culvert. Work is anticipated to last through September but is weather dependent and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure follows S.R. 47 to S.R. 234 to U.S. 231 to S.R. 236 to S.R. 59 and back to S.R. 47. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution when traveling in and around work zones.
