Robert Mendoza, 45, of Frankfort passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026.
He was born in Danville, Illinois, to Jesus and Minerva Perez Mendoza.
Robert worked for the railroad. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort. He attended Clinton Prairie High School, where he played football. He was a professional boxer for several years. He loved to eat pizza and tacos. He was a local artist.
If someone needed help, he would always find a way to help. Robert deeply loved his family.
He is survived by his parents; his children, Esmeralda, Ariel, Jasmine, Robert Jr., Natalia and Maria; and six siblings, Jesus Jr., Estella Mendoza, Noemi Mendoza, Veronica Mendoza, Vensabio Mendoza and Michael Mendoza.
He was preceded in death by son Carlos Mendoza.
A funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 24 at the church. Interment will follow the service in Calvary Cemetery.
