Dr. Chad Cripe, right, the new superintendent of South Montgomery School Corporation, spoke to the Crawfordsville Rotary Club on Sept. 7. Cripe interjected humor in his talk as he told about getting a bus driver’s license so he could drive the school bus if needed. He talked about the importance of mentors in his life and encourages students to find mentors and talk to and listen to them. He encourages the staff and students to take advantage of leadership opportunities. Cripe showed a video which included classrooms and activities in the Southmont Schools. He ended his talk with a quote, “We do what’s best for kids.”
