Sharon Sue Corwin Dever, 70, of Clarks Hill passed away in her home at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 202,3 following a lengthy battle with cancer. 

She was born Oct. 1, 1953, at Lafayette. She married Everett Dever on Sept. 11, 1972,  at Shawnee, Illinois.  He survives.

Sharon was  graduate of Jefferson High School in Lafayette. She was a homemaker and had worked briefly for the Romney Coffee Shop and Central Lab. They have resided in Clarks Hill the past 20 years moving from Romney.   

Sharon was a very loving, forgiving and loyal person who loved being surrounded by her family. She enjoyed reading and old movies which she always encouraged others to join her by offering a book or a snack and a snuggle as you watched her favorite movies. 

Surviving, along with her husband Everett, are three daughters, Betty Ann (Jason) Hughes of Crawfordsville, Danielle Marie (Jay) Busse of rural Waynetown and Charity Rene (Christian) Keller of Frankfort; grandchildren, Robert (Britleigh) Berry, Cody Fyffe, Addie Keller, Emily Hughes, Kolt (Jaelyn) Keller and Shyana Busse; and great-grandchildren, Marleigh Berry, Keaton and Karter Keller; brother Steve (Dwan) Gebhart of Lafayette; and sister Teresa "Terrie" Rosi (Murray Marshall) of Lafayette. 

She was preceded in death by mother Betty (Corwin) Vice and brother William "Billy" Corwin.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 with services to follow at 7 p.m., with family leading the service at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. 

Memorial contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Association.
