Texas pianists to perform Friday

Dueling Texas pianists Cameron Cody and James Kelly will perform at 7 p.m. Friday in the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church Sanctuary. This is the third event in the 2024 Concerts on the Corner series.

Facebook favorites, Cam and James, from Houston, Texas perform contemporary and traditional gospel music as well as Broadway tunes and jazz.

Cody is an internationally recognized concert artist, conductor and organist. He presently serves as Director of Music and Principal Organist at Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. Kelly is a professional pianist, singer, and Director of Contemporary Worship and Music at the Chapelwood Church.

Wabash Avenue Church is excited to bring this talented duo where they will use its Yamaha baby grand, the electric piano and pipe organ. The free concert is presented to the community in recognition of the church’s 200th year worshiping in and serving Montgomery County. A free-will offering collected at the concert will support Trinity Life Ministry.

Two fall 2024 concerts will feature Freetown Village Singers and The Tad Robinson Band. Organizers emphasized that the mission of Concerts on the Corner is to spread the love of God through the joy of music. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
