God's Good News For Today

The end of 2019

Posted

As another year draws to a close we begin to look to the new year — 2020, and begin to think of the days that are before us. We look at the opportunities ahead and also the difficulties. David gave us a wonderful truth and promise in Psalm 10:11, “You will show me the path of life: in your presence is the fullness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures forever more.” What you sense God has before you seems more than your ability can achieve. Yet God already knows how He will accomplish this in your life. Claim this powerful verse, “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,” (Philippians 1:6). He will assume full responsibility for you and your needs as you walk with Him by faith. Look at Philippians 2:13, “For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”

So what do we do now? First, submit to His will and seek His guidance. Second, keep your eyes upon the Lord rather than the circumstances around you. Remember the victories He has given you in the past. Third, develop a godly life of faith by spending much time in the Scriptures. Lastly, live a life of thanksgiving and praise for His love toward you. Be confident of His help and involvement in each and every detail of your life.

Be assured that the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit and your Heavenly Father want the very best for you. He will never lead you down the wrong path. So commit yourself to live in the center of His will. Each day look for His movement around and in you, expecting His working in your life. As you yield to His leadership and direction, nothing is impossible to you for His glory. Thank Him each day for leading you in the way you should go.
