Thomas R. Moore, 91, of West Lafayette passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 at I.U. Arnett Hospital in West Lafayette.
Tom was born Oct. 31, 1932, atPruden, Tennessee, to Henry and Sara (Ballou) Moore.
Tom was a 1950 graduate of Decatur, Alabama High School and Indiana Business College. Tom served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Tom worked as an examiner for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, he enjoyed watching the news and was very interested in current events. He loved traveling with family and especially his wife Mary. They have shared many adventures together over the years. He was also a big Alabama Football fan.
On April 10, 1955, Thomas and Mary S. Spencer were married. They have shared 68 years of marriage together.
Tom is survived by his wife, Mary S. Moore; sons, Jamison S. Moore and Drew R. Moore; two sisters, Katherine Dolan and Margaret Grant; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Moore.
There will be a graveside service at a later date at Maple Ridge Cemetery near Waveland, Indiana.
