Tri Kappa Sorority

Sigma chapter of Tri Kappa met in March at the Ladoga Christian Church. President Judy Goshorn called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Treasurer Nedra Richardson read a thank-you note from Riley Cheer Guild for Sigma’s membership through December 2024.

Donna Banks, chairman of the yard sale committee, distributed a sign-up sheet for workers for the May 4 yard sale in the shelter at the Ladoga Park. This is a big money maker and members were reminded that all proceeds will be used for Southmont High School scholarships and for Ladoga Elementary student recognition. Members are to donate at least $40 worth of items or donate $40 cash. Among items still needed at the set up are a rack for clothing and a truck to haul away unsold items. Unsold items are taken to local non-profits. Rain date is May 11.

Diane Cross contacted Judy Goshorn and said she would keep the chapter in mind to serve meals to her volunteers during the Mountie Mission annual back to school event.

Belinda Monts had contacted the editor of Cross Keys to report that Sigma Chapter had been omitted in the last list of chapters. The editor apologized and she will put the chapter back on the list. She had been told that Sigma was going to disband.

Names for prospective members were submitted and discussed.

The April 16 meeting at the Ladoga Christian Church will be at 7:30 p.m. and we will be voting for new members. Hostesses are Sheila Rhoads and Sharon Morrison.
