U.S. 136 to temporarily close near New Ross

NEW ROSS — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary closure on U.S. 136 near New Ross.

Beginning on or after Friday, crews will be closing U.S. 136 between C.R. 1050E and C.R. 600S.

During the closure, crews will be doing bridge maintenance over Big Raccoon Creek. The closure is expected to last a couple of weeks but is weather permitting and subject to change.

The official detour around the closure is U.S. 136 to S.R. 32 to I-74 to S.R. 75 to U.S. 136 headed eastbound and U.S. 136 to S.R. 75 to I-74 to S.R. 32 to U.S. 136 headed westbound.

INDOT encourages all drivers to seek an alternate route around the closure.
