As Sandler matures, so do his movies

Adam Sandler has grown since the days of “Billy Madison” and “Happy Gilmore.”

If you need evidence, go see “Funny People,” which stars Sandler along with Seth Rogen.

As Sandler has matured, and become a family man, his movies appear to be maturing as well.

“Click” and “Bedtime Stories” were family-friendly comedies that were still enjoyable without the foul language and crude humor that marked most of Sandler’s early successes.

“Funny People” does have a lot of foul language and tons of crude humor, but it isn’t packed with the sophomoric humor that you might expect when Sandler is on the scene.
