Thank you seems so simple until you stop and think about what it truly means. It doesn’t matter whether you stopped in to chat on the porch, to bring food and share the memories, travel clear across the country just to be here, or to sit in silence and cry. Thank you to all of those that contributed to Southmont FFA, Montgomery County Community Foundation, or the Montgomery County 4-H. It all meant so much to our family. We could not believe the number of people who took the time to celebrate Paul’s life, we were in awe. The amount of food furnished to feed over 400 people prepared by the best cooks in Montgomery and Putnam counties was delicious and bountiful. The food we had left was spread throughout the community by way of the Mountie Mission and Diane Cross. Dave Bower was spot on for Paul’s service, he covered every inch of his life to a T. When we sat and watched everyone enjoying the food and the fellowship of family, friends and neighbors it was very comforting, it made me cry. The community we live in is amazing. My family said you have talked about what matters to you are the people, friends, family and neighbors. This last week is a true testament of how large our caring community truly is. Thank you all for all you have done in one way or another. On Farmer Paul’s banner, someone said it best “And God made a farmer and he was one of the best!”
Live today to the fullest, tomorrow is never promised. Tell your family you love them always.
Sincerely,
The Vaught Family
