The number of phone calls into my office was this past month was 53 and the number of veterans who came into my office was 22. We also took 11 veterans to their appointments at the VA hospital this past month.
I will be at the American Legion Post 72 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and at the VFW Post 1431 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14. Call me at 765-361-4133 for an appointment.
The POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony will be at noon Sept. 15 in downtown Indianapolis at the Indiana War Memorial, 55 E. Michigan St.

Let’s not forget our Veterans Expo will be 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 19 and flu shots will be given starting at 9:30 a.m.
If you can’t make that date and still need a flu shot, you may go to the Lafayette VA Clinic at 940 Park East Blvd., Lafayette, on Oct. 6 or Nov. 17; or you may go to Roudebush VA Medical Center at 1481 W. 10th St., Indianapolis, (use parking lot A (along West 10th Street) - Room C1001 right inside 10th Street entrance) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Sept. 12 through Nov. 30.
