Wabash finishes 12th at College Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS — Wabash College finished 12th in the 16-team field at the 2026 Wabash College Invitational, led by Leo Dellinger and Finn Carteaux, who tied for 43rd individually Tuesday at Broadmoor Country Club. The Little Giants’ A team completed the three-round tournament with a 46-over-par total of 910, while Dellinger and Carteaux each finished at 9-over 225.

Wabash posted rounds of 303 and 300 Monday before closing with a 307 Tuesday. The Little Giants’ B team placed 14th at 934 after shooting a final-round 306, its best score of the tournament.

Dellinger carded a final-round 76 after rounds of 73 and 76 Monday. Carteaux, who entered the final round at 3-over par, shot a 78 Tuesday after opening with rounds of 73 and 74.

Tyler Morton was the third Wabash A-team finisher, tying for 52nd at 11-over 227. Morton closed with a 3-over 75 after rounds of 79 and 73. Charlie Seaburg tied for 74th at 19-over 235 following rounds of 80, 77 and 78, while Mason Pierle finished 82nd at 23-over 239 after rounds of 78, 77 and 84.

Alex Schenkel led the Wabash B team with a 17-over 233 to tie for 67th. Schenkel shot 77 in Tuesday’s final round after rounds of 76 and 80 Monday. Jackson Mahan tied for 74th at 235 after closing with a 77, while Antonio Grandinetti and Louis Leon Gryglewski tied for 78th at 236. Grandinetti produced the B team’s best final-round score with a 3-over 75. Coen Bauschek finished 83rd at 241 after closing with a 77.

Hudson Messer and Quinn Hundt competed as individuals for Wabash. Messer tied for 78th with a 20-over 236 after rounds of 79, 80 and 77. Hundt tied for 85th at 248 following rounds of 78, 87 and 83.

Kenyon won the team championship with an 18-under-par total of 846 after firing a tournament-best 13-under 275 in Tuesday’s final round. Carnegie Mellon finished two strokes back at 848, with Illinois Wesleyan’s A team third at 851 and Emory fourth at 852.

Emory’s Kevin Mu earned medalist honors with an 18-under 198. Mu, who tied the Broadmoor Country Club course record with a 10-under 62 in Monday’s opening round, followed with consecutive rounds of 68 to finish three strokes ahead of Carnegie Mellon’s Joshua Wang. Wang closed with a 7-under 65 Tuesday to finish at 15-under 201.
