Long-time Montgomery County resident Mike Warren has announced he will run as a Republican candidate for county council at-large.

“I am excited to announce my candidacy for County Council At-large,” Warren said. “I believe in the potential of our community and want to take on an active role on the council to ensure we continue in the right direction.”

Warren was born and raised in Montgomery County. He grew up in Linden with his brothers John, Bill and Kory, the sons of Greg and Kathy. Warren graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1989 and Wabash College in 1993. He is also a graduate of the Montgomery County Leadership Academy. He has worked at Wabash College for 23 years and currently serves as the Senior Associate Director of Alumni and Affinity Group Engagement.

Aside from his work at Wabash College, Warren has been active in working with our community’s youth for years, coaching at Wabash and at North Montgomery. He has also spent time umpiring for youth baseball leagues as well as a volunteer youth coach, and previously served on the Montgomery County Boys & Girls Club board of directors.

“Through collaborative efforts with county council members and others, I wish to help continue the growth of our community, while being fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars,” Warren said. “While working to create a brighter future for all residents, it is important to me to remain committed to those residents in keeping Montgomery County a safe and desirable place to live, work, and play.”

Warren resides near Darlington with his wife, Kimberly. They have two sons, Kaleb and Kai.
