The North Montgomery football team dropped its regular season finale 45-20 to Danville.
The Warriors finish the regular season 7-0, while the Chargers are 5-4.
Danville outscored North Montgomery 45-6 in the first half, with Donavan Haworth’s rushing touchdown the Chargers’ lone first half score. Ross Dyson and Drew Norman each added rushing touchdowns in the second half.
“Early on we struggled up front on both sides of the football, they controlled the line of scrimmage,” North coach Josh Thompson said. “I thought that our kids played better in the second half, and I thought we were a little more focused. Challenged them to come out and have a better half than the first half half.”
North Montgomery host Indianapolis Brebeuf next Friday in the first round of the IHSAA Class 3A Sectional.
