Janelle Waye was promoted to Consumer Loan Underwriter at Hoosier Heartland State Bank.
As a consumer loan underwriter, Waye is responsible for reviewing and approving, or recommending for approval, loan requests and making sure files are compliant and properly documented prior to closing.
“Janelle has worked very hard to educate herself, while at the same time putting her ideas to action, making the consumer process more efficient,” said Trent Smaltz, vice president and chief lending officer. “She has done great things so seamlessly, helping the team around her to embrace the changes.”
Waye joined the HHSB team in 2013 as a part-time teller. She advanced to a head teller/CSR and earned re-certification as an IBA Certified Teller before transitioning to the Underwriting Department in July 2019. She worked as a consumer loan processor prior to her promotion. Waye is a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and currently resides in Ladoga.
