Marine Cpl. Bryan Scott WilsonFeb. 5, 1982-Dec. 1, 2004Marine Cpl. Bryan Scott Wilson, 22, Independence, and formerly of Oxford area, died Dec. 1 in a Humvee crash at An Nukayb, Iraq, while serving the United States in Operation Iraqi Freedom.Cpl. Wilson was a motor vehicle operator/mechanic in the United States Marine Corp.His memberships included Eagle Scouts and FFA while attending high school. He was a 2001 Seeger High School graduate.He was of Cherokee heritage and was given the name "Many Wars."He was born Feb. 5, 1982, at Lafayette, to Charles 'CV' and Brenda Stringer Wilson. He married Samantha M. Klinger June 13, 2001, in his grandmother's garden, Warren County, with a Native American ceremony conducted June 16, 2001. She survives.Also surviving are one daughter, Breanne M., Independence; his parents, Independence; two brothers, Lonnie (Jennifer), West Lafayette, and Adam, Independence; maternal grandmother Geraldine 'Gerri' (Kenny) Brovont, Battleground; father- and mother -in-law Steven and Linda Klinger, Independence.Maternal grandfathers Fred Stringer and Dale Mulvey and paternal grandparents Charles S. And Pinnie Wilson are deceased.Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Sunday in Seeger Memorial High School, West Lebanon, with the Rev. Dave Trzeciak officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call 2-7 p.m. Saturday in the high school.Memorials may be made to Cpl.
