Tao Zhu, the plant manager for Tempur Sealy, spoke to the Crawfordsville Rotary Club on April 6. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and has worked in various areas of the mattress industry. The main focus of the Crawfordsville plant is to produce their own foam of the highest quality and distribute it to their own plants. Money and research has been invested to produce a mattress that will insure pressure relief and "a good night's sleep" for the customer. Many incentives were offered to the company locate in Crawfordsville. The company wants to be a good neighbor to Crawfordsville and the surrounding area. They have donated mattresses to several places in need of good clean mattresses such as the Family Crisis Shelter. The factory hopes to start production in May or June and will employ around 300 workers
