Audrey June (Reed) Covault, 74, of Veedersburg passed away at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, in The Springs of Lafayette.
Audrey was born June 3, 1946, at Universal, Indiana, daughter of the late Lloyd Darroll and Sarah Elizabeth (Wheeler) Reed. Audrey formerly lived in Mellott and for the past 15 years has resided in Veedersburg. She had worked as a cook for the Attica IGA.
Audrey enjoyed working crossword puzzles, scrapbooking, collecting cookie jars and porcelain dolls.
Audrey first married Kenneth Kent in 1963 and they divorced. She later married Gerald Crowder and they also divorced. She married James Covault in Covington. He preceded her in death in 2005.
She leaves behind sons, Denny (Gala) Reed, Lafayette, and Matthew Crowder, Veedersburg; brother John (Ruth Ann) Reed, Attica; sister Lula Bradbury, Covington; five grandchildren, Nikki Anderson, Abigail (Shawn) Bullock, Chelsea Reed, Joseph Reed and Drake Crowder; six great-grandchildren, Kiersten Anderson, Zoey Anderson, Lillian Anderson, Dalton McNulty, Izak McNulty and Christopher Bullock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ron, Jury and James Reed.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services at 7 p.m. Dec. 29 at Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Pastor Jerry Badgley will officiate. Following cremation, her cremated remains will be placed next to her husband in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery near Stone Bluff. All attendees at the service will be required to wear face masks and keep social distancing from the family.
