Carol Jeanette “Frenchie” French, 84, of Ladoga passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Asbury Towers in Greencastle.
She was born June 27, 1938, to the late Ernest C. and Garnet R. (Gause) French. She was a graduate of Ladoga High School in 1956.
Carol began her working career in Jamestown at the Egg Factory, then Herman Davis Chevrolet, which became Dave Stettler Chevrolet, where she worked for over 40 years until retiring. Carol loved sports, softball, volleyball, watching the Pacers, the Indianapolis Colts, the Cincinnati Reds was among her favorites. She also enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, good chocolate, and spending time with her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sharon (Lester) Miles, Diane Cross, Debbie (Danny) Gibbs, Amy (Dan “Doc”) Holladay, Theresa Cross, Rick French, Kristi (Josh) Braziel, Karen (Tom) McIntyre and Tim (Donna) French, and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Earnest French Jr., David French and Irene Cross; and niece Victoria French.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville, with Pastor David Bower officiating. Servies & Morgan Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
