CHS hires new girls wrestling coach

Crawfordsville High School Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Thomas Logan as the new head coach of the Crawfordsville High School girls wrestling program.

“We are excited to announce Thomas Logan as the new head wrestling coach for our girls program,” said CHS Athletic Director Bryce Barton. “Thomas had a successful tenure at Crawfordsville Middle School and is one of the reasons why our high school wrestling team has had recent success. His numbers increased yearly at CMS; which shows that he cares about our student athletes and can relate to them. Coach Logan is ready to build on the successful start that Brayden Montgomery had with our girls team and continue that momentum in future years.”

Logan brings extensive coaching experience and a deep commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the mat. He most recently served as Head Wrestling Coach at CMS from 2018 to 2024, where he helped grow participation, develop wrestlers of all skill levels, and foster a culture centered on academic and athletic success. He also served as Director of the Crawfordsville Wrestling Club, overseeing programming for wrestlers in grades K-12 and significantly expanding participation and community support for the sport.

A graduate of Wabash College, Logan has spent his career working with students as both an educator and coach. He was recently hired for the 2026-27 school year as a government and economics teacher at CHS and previously taught with Indiana Gateway Digital Academy in addition to CMS.

“I’m very thankful for the opportunity to take over as the Girls Head Wrestling Coach,” Logan said. “Coach Montgomery did an excellent job getting the program started these past two years, and I’m excited to help our student-athletes continue to build a program and culture that they can rally around and be proud of. Go Athenians!”

The Crawfordsville girls wrestling team will begin preparations for the upcoming season under Logan’s leadership as the program continues to build upon its early success.
