Crawfordsville Middle School presents Moana Jr. This musical adventure is brought to life this weekend at Crawfordsville High School in the Connie Meek auditorium. It is a story of a young woman, Moana (Halyn Hall), the daughter of Chief Tui (Collin Simpson) and Sina (Amelia Simpson) who is drawn to the ocean. Moana defies her father, the chief after her grandmother, Gramma Tala (Guinevere Schmitzer-Torbert) reveals to her the Heart of Te Fiti (Te Fiti played by Katy Grace Whitecotton).

The ocean calls to her to travel, and with the support of her good pals Pua (Shylah Hall) and Hei Hei (Gianna Kochert Cosby), Moana begins her journey. She meets several characters on her path to finding herself. Maui (Hutton Haas), a demi-god journeys with her and he even teaches her the art of wayfinding. After besting Tamatoa (Henry Hartnett), a funky giant crab, they make their way to Te Fiti and return what is hers.
