The Darlington Library held its annual Summer Reading Program from June 6 through July 22, with a total of 43 children participating. This year’s theme was all about Native Americans. The kids made an Indian blanket, clay sculptures, a woven potholder and an Indian necklace, in addition to reading books about Indian life and culture. Upon completion of all activities, the library awarded each child with gift cards, candy and new books. The library would like to thank everyone who has donated to the gift fund that made this program possible. Shown above is Rowen Howell, dressed in her Native American attire and holding her Indian blanket.
