STATEHOUSE  — Rose Winters is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2022 legislative session, said State Sen. Phil Boots (R-Crawfordsville).

Winters, a resident of Darlington, is the daughter of Jason and Kari Winters. She graduated from the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities in Muncie, and is a graduate student at Georgetown University studying applied intelligence.

“I have always enjoyed meeting civically engaged college students from our community that serve as senate interns,” Boots said. “Rose serves as the Secretary of the Senate intern, which demands an organized and driven individual. She has gone above and beyond in this role and will undoubtedly go far in her career.”

As the intern for the secretary of the Senate, Winters tracks and analyzes bill data, conducts legislative policy research, helps create the legislative calendar and assists in the filing of bills.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by March 14.
