Donald Lee Little, 81, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, in the Knapp Medical Center, Weslaco, Texas, following a short illness.

He was born May 16, 1939, at Tazewell, Virginia, to the late Vernie L. and Sara Buck Little. He married his “angel,” Lola Marie Snapp, on Nov. 3, 1961. She survives.

Don attended Belle Union High School in Belle Union, Indiana. He enlisted in the US Army in 1957 and served in Germany until his discharge in 1960. He retired after a career as a truck driver.

Don had a story for everything and never met a stranger. He loved to sing and had a smile that would light up a room. He enjoyed traveling with Lola, old cars and old trains. He was a history buff, especially interested in World War II history. Don had a unique ability to fix anything broken … and according to him, nothing was broken, until he exhausted all his efforts in repairing it. More than anything, Don loved his wife, kids and grandchildren. He was very proud of his family and deeply patriotic!

Surviving, along with his wife Lola, are two daughters, Tracy (Bob) Peterman of Newbury Park, California and Tammy (Bryan) Graves of Crawfordsville; son Troy (Kim) Little of Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren, Bobby and Anthony Peterman, Bryce, Zach and Courtney McCoy and Grace and Reagan Little; step-grandchildren, Raven and Daniel Graves and Zayn Risner; great-grandson Brendan Peterman; two sisters, Jeanne (Russ) Varvel of Filmore and Suzie Little of Tazewell, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Karen Little; and brother John Little.
