It’s officially “spooky” season, so let’s go over the scariest and hardest part of living: our finances. Specifically, farm finances. There is plenty of talk of increased farm input prices and tight margins for farmers.
If you are anything like me, complaining to complain is annoying, but educated complaining well that’s constructive stuff! So, let’s figure out how tight the margins actually are for your farming operation. That way you have exact numbers to share with your lender, accountant, or maybe even your Farm Bureau Board to try to make a difference with legislators.
I encourage you to join the Purdue Extension EDGE in Ag Team for Know Your Numbers, Know Your Options, a four-session virtual workshop designed to help farm operators better understand their financial position and use that information to make informed business decisions.
Throughout the series, you’ll connect with agricultural experts and fellow producers to explore key financial management topics that can impact the future of your operation.
