Eight and Forty Petit Salon 792

Posted

On Sept. 17, Becky Hankins Chapeau of the Eight and Forty Petit Salon 792 presented Alexandra Krakora of Indianapolis a $500 award to help her with her schooling. She is going to Indiana University for respiratory therapy.

The Eight and Forty is the women’s version of the Forty and Eight. The Forty and Eight donates to three asthma camps — Eaze-Wheeze, Happy Hallow and Not-Gonna-Wheeze. What makes these camps special is they are for children with severe breathing issues. When these camps are open there are doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists there 24/7.

This gives children with really severe breathing issues a chance to have a little of the normal that most children take for granted.

The Eight and Forty gives this award annually, but it can only go to someone who is studying respiratory therapy.
