Glenn C. Lighthart of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 29, 2020, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. He was 62.
Glenn worked up until the last couple of months for Ratcliff Homes driving a truck and really loved his job. He liked to go places on spur of the moment trips and travel the countryside. He loved his cat, Cricket. He attended Crossroads Church of the Nazarene. He came to know the Lord in his final months and was baptized.
Born Nov. 12, 1958, at Rockford, Illinois, he was the son of Donald E. Lighthart and Nancy C. Nicholls Calvert. He attended school in Rockford. He married Linda Anderson on Jan. 24, 2020, and very much loved his wife, as well as becoming part of her family.
Survivors include: wife Linda Lighthart of Crawfordsville; mother Nancy Calvert of Rockford; son Chris Johnston of California; daughter Dorothy (Casey) Wrightsman of California and their son, Liam; brother Donnie (Lorena) Lighthart; sister Debbie (Kenny) Johnson; step-son Richard (Vanessa) Stadler with their children, Sevie and Sully; step-daughter Jennifer (Brad) Himes with their children, Bella, Geran, Zach and Levi; and father-in-law Richard Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene. Services will begin at noon, led by Pastor Mark Roberts. Burial will follow at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
