Hoosier Heartland State Bank celebrated its 10th annual Shared Values Awards at Stone Creek Lodge on Saturday. A combined total of $48,000 was donated to 12 local non-profits during the awards ceremony.
Women’s Resource Center was announced as the winner of HHSB’s 2024 Shared Values Award, receiving a $10,000 donation. Women’s Resource Center is focused on providing support to women and families facing unexpected pregnancies. They provide resources like diapers, clothes and car seats as well as medical resources like ultrasounds for expecting mothers through their Crawfordsville clinic and mobile unit.
“We are very humbled that our community sees WRC for all the value that we provide to be that light in our community,” said Women’s Resource Center executive director Patti Harvey. “We are very grateful to God for allowing us to serve women, children, and families with love, compassion, and no judgment.”
The Shared Values Awards asks for the public’s nominations of non-profits who share the same values and vision that Hoosier Heartland State Bank operates by. Approximately 800 nominations were received nominating more than 60 different organizations in Montgomery and Putnam counties and beyond.
Marilyn’s Village of Fountain County and Abilities Services Inc. took home second and third place, receiving $7,500 and $5,000, respectively. Both organizations focus on serving those with disabilities and their families, giving them access to community and life skills.
“The Shared Values Awards serves as a remarkable opportunity to engage the entire community in uplifting our local non-profits,” said Brad Monts, HHSB president and CEO. “It’s personally one of my favorite occasions to witness the profound impact these incredible organizations have on countless lives.”
Furthermore, nine employee-owners were also recognized for their outstanding commitment to HHSB’s Mission, Vision and Values. These awards were voted on by their peers, and each was given the honor of awarding a donation to a local non-profit of their choice.
