Chargers fall to Mavericks
The North Montgomery wrestling team dropped a match 46-32 at McCutcheon on Tuesday night.
At 120 Baydin Hall picked up a 17-3 win over Trey Hadley, while James McClerkin defeated Brad McCain 8-6 at 126.
Gage Galloway pinned Garrett Farrar at 145, while Dawson McCloud picked up a pin over Aiden Grimes at 182, and Jacob Braun won by fall over Brandon Barton at 195. No. 1 ranked Drew Webster remained undefeated on the season at 220 with a fall over Riley Dempewolf.
Mustangs defeat Eagles
Fountain Central picked up a girls basketball win over Faith Christian 71-50 on Tuesday.
Trailing 21-9 after a quarter, the Mustangs outscored the Eagles 26-3 in the second period to take a 35-24 lead and never looked back.
Dakota Borman led Fountain Central with a career-high 31 points, and hauled down seven rebounds and had six assists. Gracie Foxworthy added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Reagan Oswalt chipped in eight, and Larissa Bowers six.
Fountain Central is now 2-8 on the season and travels to Attica on Friday.
Chargers fall to Red Devils
The North Montgomery girls’ basketball team fell to West Lafayette 69-48 on Tuesday night.
Madi Welch led the Chargers with 16 points, while Maddie Moseley and Grace McClaskey each chipped in 12.
North Montgomery is now 7-5 on the season and travels to Crawfordsville on Friday.
Athenians fall to Knights
The Crawfordsville girls’ basketball team traveled to Central Catholic on Tuesday night, and fell to the Knights 59-34.
Lauren Kellerman led the Athenians with 12 points in the loss.
Crawfordsville is now 2-9 on the season, and hosts North Montgomery on Friday.
