Hockersmith marks 15 years with HHSB

Hoosier Heartland State Bank is pleased to announce the 15-year work anniversary of Zach Hockersmith, Chief Financial Officer.

Hockersmith joined the HHSB team in 2010 after graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in finance and economics. He served the bank as a loan officer, branch manager, AVP of Retail, and VP Controller before joining the executive leadership team as Chief Financial Officer in 2021. As CFO, he oversees the bank’s financial health and strategy and guides the bank’s long-term growth and stability.

“Zach has played a vital role in our success over the last 15 years,” said HHSB President and CEO Brad Monts. “His continued professional growth and dedication to our mission, vision, and values make him an invaluable part of our team. We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone and look forward to his continued contributions in the years to come.”

Hockermsith and his wife, Casey, are lifelong residents of Montgomery County. They have been married for 14 years and live in Crawfordsville with their two sons, Hudson and Camden. He enjoys spending time outdoors, being with family, golfing, and working on home projects. He also helps coach Southmont youth football and baseball.

In addition to coaching, Hockersmith is actively involved in the community. He serves as a board member for the Montgomery County Medical Care Trust and the Montgomery County Community Foundation and is a part of the MCCF Bridge Inc., where he helps support the Early Learning Center project. He is also involved with the Indiana Bankers Association, serving on the Future Leadership Division advisory board.
