Jo Lynn Adams, 72, of Lafayette, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 22, 1951, at Crawfordsville, to the late Charles and Mae (Parsons) Adams.
Jo graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1969 and was a fun-loving mother and grandmother. She was a nurse’s aide and QMA at Ben Hur Nursing Home and graduated from St. Elizabeth Nursing School in 1989. She was then a registered nurse at Williamsburg Healthcare and worked at Home/St. Elizabeth Hospital for 30 years. She had a great sense of humor and will be missed by many.
She is survived by two daughters, Jordan Yates and Kristy (Chris) Baugh; six grandchildren, Matheu (Taylor) McElwee, Jesse McElwee, Brendan McElwee, Rachel McElwee, Larissa Catron and Hunter Baugh; two great-grandchildren, Kollin and Sawyer McElwee; sister Joyce Gilliland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Jerry Gobel.
There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at Oak Hill North Cemetery, 392 Oak Hill Road, Crawfordsville. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care entrusted with care.
