COLLEGE SIGNING

Kelly to play football at Wabash

North Montgomery senior Logan Kelly announced his commitment to play football at Wabash College last week.

The decision came after a successful senior campaign last fall.

“I had a decent senior year, and I’ve always been around Wabash Football since I was little,” Kelly said. “I haven’t not ever played a sport, so I didn’t want to go into college regretting deciding not to play, and I felt like Wabash was a good fit.”

Kelly caught 34 passes for 535 yards and six touchdowns in 2020 — helping the Chargers to a 5-5 record.

“I wanted to go into my senior year and give it my all,” Kelly said. “I lost my grandpa over the summer and he was always there for every sporting event. And I wanted to go out there and give it my best for him.”

Kelly chipped in as a role player as a junior both in football and basketball, but spent time at home during COVID-19 preparing for his senior seasons.

“Staying at home a lot I did some workouts by myself and stayed in shape and came back ready to play,” he said.

Kelly plans to major in Economics with a minor in Business.
