Kiwanis Club announces scholarship applications

The Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club Pat Cline Service Scholarships are now available from high school counselors in Montgomery County. Crawfordsville Kiwanis will award a $1,250 service scholarship to one graduating senior from each of the three Montgomery County High Schools.

Cline was a Crawfordsville resident who won many awards, including a Pulitzer Prize nomination, Sagamore of the Wabash and was a Paul Harris Fellow, for her work as a journalist, editor and Vietnam War correspondent. She was an active community member, serving and being a leader for the Visitor’s Bureau, Order of the Easter Star, Woodland Heights Christian Church, Montgomery County Cultural Foundation, Montgomery County Historical Society, Indiana Women’s Press Club, Friends of the Library and the Strawberry Festival. The Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club Honors her by providing these scholarships to graduating seniors who exemplify the Kiwanis ideal of service to the community.

You can also apply for a $1,000 scholarship from the Indiana District of Kiwanis Foundation. This scholarship application is due March 5. The Pat Cline Service Scholarship application is due March 31.
