Lakeside recognizes retirees

Jane Simmons, Lisa Bandy and Caren Branson recently retired from Lakeside Book Company.

Simmons began her career with the company on March 20, 1988. She has held several roles such as bindery machine operator, warehouse coordinator and materials coordinator which is her current role.

Simmons lives in Crawfordsville and enjoys spending time with her children, Sam (Ashley) Gibbs, Ben Gibbs, Jake (Andra Rager) Simmons, Emma (Toby) McCullough and Xander (Brooke) Simmons.

Her hobbies include crocheting, knitting and LSC Bingo with Emma and Jake. She is also affiliated with St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Crawfordsville.

Lisa Bandy began her career at Lakeside Book Company on Oct. 25, 1987.

She has held several roles such as material handler in the bindery, prepress platemaker, artworker and layout. In 2004, Bandy was promoted to a bindery supervisor and in 2007 pressroom supervisor, which is her current role. She and her husband Mark enjoy camping, bicycling and playing corn hole. Bandy also enjoys curling up with a good book.

Caren Branson began her career at Lakeside Book Company on Nov. 10, 1980. She has held several roles such as inventory clerk, administrative assistant and material analyst planner 2 which is her current role.

Branson lives in Lizton with her husband Doug. They have two sons, JD Ames and C. Anthony. Her father, Carl Morris, is a retiree from then RR Donnelley. She enjoys spending time with her family and church family of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg.
