Letter: Reader upset by endorsement letter

Posted

I would like to say that I don’t feel that the Journal Review is the proper platform for endorsing any political candidate, unless it is a paid advertisement. The letter published regarding the election for the county clerk position should not have been published, especially without a chance for opposing views and personal knowledge of intelligence and capabilities of both candidates. This seems very shady.

I believe there was ample time for candidates to hold functions inviting the public to hear about their knowledge, experience and education. If you must allow things of this nature to be published you must allow both candidates to speak. This is America.
