Mounties win three-way meet
The Southmont girls’ golf team fired a 178 on Thursday night to defeat Cascade (188) and Greencastle (256).
Macie Shirk was the medalist with a 38, while Addison Meadows fired a 41. Taylor Grino shot a 42, Stella Snook a 42 and Kelsey Thompson a 55.
Mustangs defeat Schlarman
The Fountain Central volleyball team defeated Schlarman Academy 2-0 (25-15, 25-15)
Jerzi Hershberger led the Mustangs with 15 digs and three aces, while Chloe Golia had 10 kills, six digs, and an ace. Elkins had 11 digs and an ace, while Lillie Fishero had 21 assists, three digs and a kill.
Athenians sweep Patriots
The Crawfordsville volleyball team swept Seeger 3-0 (25-16, 25-6, 25-10) on Thursday night.
Shea Williamson had 10 digs, six aces, and four kills, while Alyx Bannon had a dig and seven kills and Halle Elliott had six digs.
Macy Bruton added an ace, six digs and 12 kills, while Olivia Reed had an ace and 10 digs. Laine Schlicher had 25 assists, eight aces, five digs, and two kills, while Hallie Gayler had nine kills and two blocks and Liddy McCarty and Taedyn Cook each had a kill.
The junior-varsity won in three sets.
