We had the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag, Christian Flag, IEHA Mission Statement. Roll call was answered with “What do you go to the 4-H Fair to see, do or eat?” and was answered by the eight members present.
The secretary report was read by Rita Kirkpatrick and approved. The treasurer report was given by McBride, it was reported that Sandra Lightle, new treasurer, has taken care of all the banking business to start her new year.
Officers for 2026-27 are McBride, president; Carol Vice, vice president; Rita Kirkpatrick, secretary/public relations; Lightle, treasurer; Judy Tulley, membership; and Carol Crowder and Linda Miller, song leaders. The new officers will start their year in July 2026.
We did not have any birthdays during the month of June.
There was a sheet passed around to sign up for July 12 at the 4-H fairgrounds for the open class projects in the Exhibit Hall.
It was decided that the hostess for the month would be responsible for our inspiration starting this next year. We are to be thinking about what kind of activities we would like for the upcoming year and report on them at our meeting in July. We signed cards for Betty Jeffers, Lou Rosen and Claudine Whalen.
Upcoming events are Montgomery County 4-H Fair on July 10-15 at the fairgrounds and Maple Grove will meet at Wellbooke at 1:30 p.m. July 21 and will Celebrate America’s 250 Birthday. The program will be presented by Kirkpatrick on Revolutionary War Soldiers. Judy Tulley will be the hostess for the July meeting.
We closed the June meeting with the Extension Homemaker’s Prayer.
Hostesses Minnie Howard and Eileen Matricia had some wonderful dip and crackers for us to enjoy, talk some to each other, and then clean the dip bowls out and enjoy the dip some more.
