Friends and family will gather together later this month to enjoy the tradition of turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie. It’s Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks. It’s time to reflect on the good that has happened over the past year, but also a time to remember those who are struggling.
The reality for some children and families across Montgomery County is that they don’t have a permanent place to call home. Many often go to bed hungry or struggle every day just to meet basic needs. Many are hard-working, tax-paying people living paycheck to paycheck who are just one medical emergency or one car repair away from falling into poverty. Many are unfortunate victims of circumstances beyond their control.
