Donald and Margaret “Peggy” Roberts of Terre Haute will soon be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
Donald and Margaret “Peggy” Roberts of Terre Haute will soon be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple met at a men’s high school softball game and have been together ever since, marrying on Oct. 10, 1954, at the Roachdale Christian Church. They spent their first 50 years of marriage on the family farm near Russellville, before retiring to Terre Haute.
They are the proud parents of Deanna (Bob) Turner of Bloomington, Indiana, Donna (Herb) Gauer of Terre Haute and Karen (Brett) Stoker of Tipton. The couple has seven grandchildren, Rachel (Ben) Steckler, Rebekah (David) Marshall, Daniel Turner, Emily (Steven) Templeton, Andrew (Emily) Gauer, Riley Stoker and Luke Stoker. They also have 11 great-grandchildren, Parker, Sawyer, Cooper and Maggie Steckler, Madeline Marshall, Harper, Macy and Mack Templeton and Kasen, Kollins and Rowan Gauer.
