Russell and Bonnie Staton will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary on Nov. 20. They were married by the Rev. George King in Crawfordsville. They met at the roller skating rink and were married after Russell returned home from a year and a half with the Army in Japan.
He retired from RR Donnelley and she was a homemaker. They still reside in the home Russell built himself.
They are the parents of Steve Staton, Denny (Tammy) Staton, Suzi (Jim) Wright and the late Sherrie Taylor who passed away in June 2021.
Their grandchildren are Chris Staton, Stormy (Elliott) Davies, Destiny Staton, Shanna (Mark) Taylor, Travis (Amber) Taylor, Misty (Kevin) Taylor, Corey (Lacey) Staton, Stephanie (Ryan) Millbern, Jordan Wright and Justin Wright; and their great-grandchildren are Alexus, Ashlyn, Emma, Eli, Alec, Landyn, Marlo, Harlan, Ella, Hadleigh and Kaiyer.
They enjoyed dinner with their family.
