“Learning from the best” was the goal of three Parke Heritage Middle School staff members as they attended professional development training at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta. This trip was a valuable experience for Principal Lisa Wrightsman, Counselor Brianne Bridge and Secretary Rena Uplinger. The goal of the visit was to learn from one of the best in the field and bring back valuable insights to better serve PHMS students. The Academy, founded by Ron Clark, is renowned for its innovative approach to education, focusing on academic excellence and leadership development in a diverse student body.

The PHMS staff members had the opportunity to observe classes, engage with students, and immerse themselves in the dynamic learning environment. This hands-on experience allowed them to gather ideas on how to enhance their roles at PHMS and create a more impactful educational experience for their students. Collaborating with their counterparts also provided Brianne and Rena with valuable insights into their respective roles as counselor and secretary.
