Athenians advance in sectional
Crawfordsville won their first game of their own IHSAA Sectional on Tuesday. The Athenians beat Western Boone 3-2.

Athenians top Bronchos
Crawfordsville played visiting Lafayette Jefferson (6-9) on Tuesday and defeated the Bronchos 1-0.

The Athenians (13-2) will conclude their regular season Thursday at home against Danville (4-5-5).
Mounties win
Southmont defeated Monrovia 7-3 on Tuesday.

Southmont (5-8, 1-5 MAC) will play Thursday at Western Boone (2-8, 1-5 MAC).
Chargers are shut out
North Montgomery played Indiana Math & Science Academy North (10-1) at home on Tuesday. The visitors shut out the Chargers 1-0.
The Knights got their goal in the first half when Brian Torres scored. The visitors had just four shots on goal.
Knight goalkeeper Diego Acosta had eight saves.
North coaches did not report their players statistics.
The Chargers (5-9-1) will attempt to end their four-game losing streak Thursday at home against Delphi (2-6-1).
GIRLS SOCCER
Chargers beat Sparkplugs
North Montgomery played Tuesday at Speedway (2-12-1) and came home with a 9-1 win.
The Chargers jumped out to a 3-0 first half lead and controlled the entire game.
Chargers scoring were Courtney Bennett with three goals. Olivia Nuppnau, Ava Leader and Genesis Reyes each scored two goals.
Goalkeeper Addison Johnson was credited with the win.
North Montgomery (10-5-1) concluded the regular season with the win. The Chargers will face Crawfordsville on Monday in the IHSAA Cascade 2A Sectional. The Athenians (9-4-1) beat the Chargers on Sept. 9 in a shootout.

Athenians beat Stars
Crawfordsville defeated Monon Athletic Conference rival Western Boone 3-1 on Tuesday.
No game statistics were reported by Crawfordsville coaches.
The Athenians (15-10, 3-3 MAC) will entertain Lafayette Jefferson on Thursday.
