Richard Jeffrey ‘Richie’ Krout, 43, of Veedersburg passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022.
Richie was born July 30, 1979, at Crawfordsville. He was the son of Jeff Krout and Christy (Ingalsbe) Blankenship and step-father Ralph Blankenship.
Richie was a lifelong resident of Veedersburg. He was a 1997 graduate of Southmont High School. He worked as a press operator at RR Donnelley in Crawfordsville.
Richie enjoyed watching his children play sports. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting and mushrooming. He was a St. Louis Cardinals and IU fan. Richie also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.
Survivors include: father Jeff Krout, Veedersburg; mother and step-father, Christy and Ralph Blankenship, Veedersburg; biological child Chloe Golia and two sons, Jacob Andrew Krout and Brayden William Krout, both of Veedersburg; brother Jason (Sheena) Blankenship, Veedersburg; maternal grandmother Lois Ingalsbe, Veedersburg; nephews, Alan and Austin Blankenship and niece Audrey Blankenship; uncles and aunts, Bill and Diane Ingalsbe, Veedersburg, Kelly Kirby, Veedersburg, and Melissa (Dave) Henry of Westville, Illinois; cousins, Brandon Ingalsbe and Ashlynn (Bradley) Howell, both of Veedersburg; and numerous loving Blankenship family members
Richie was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Rusty and Penny Krout; maternal grandfather Gale Ingalsbe; and two uncles, Kevin Krout and Brian Krout.
Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 3 p.m. until service time at 5 p.m., with Pastor Mike McCollum officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dickerson Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
